Recruit Student Volunteers
University partnerships can help recruit or refer dedicated student volunteer tutors. These volunteers gain invaluable experience in mentorship, service-learning, and community engagement while making a significant impact on the lives of Boston students. Tutors also receive 1-on-1 staff support for personal growth and self-understanding in their service journey.
Host a College Visit
Hosting a college visit provides EVkids students with the opportunity to explore a college campus firsthand. These visits inspire and motivate students by giving them a glimpse into college life, encouraging them to pursue their own academic goals.
Mentoring Day
Host or sponsor an EVkids Mentoring Day, held twice each academic year. These events provide Boston students and their mentors with the unique opportunity to explore a college campus, utilize the athletic facilities, and see themselves and their peers in a space that they might be the first in their family to experience. Mentoring Day deepens the bond between tutors and students, reinforcing the impact of their 1-on-1 relationship in a new and inspiring environment.
